This Privacy Policy explains how the DivineClock mobile application ("DivineClock", "the app"), operated by Appsolutely LTDA ("Appsolutely", "we", "us"), handles information when you use it. We built DivineClock to be privacy-first: there is no account, no login, and most of your data never leaves your device.
DivineClock is a product of Appsolutely LTDA, a company organized under the laws of Brazil, which acts as the data controller for the limited processing described here.
The following stays on your device (in local app storage) and is not transmitted to us:
If you delete the app, this on-device data is removed with it.
When an alarm rings, you dismiss it by reading the assigned Bible verse aloud. To do this, the app requests microphone access and uses Apple's speech recognition to compare what you say with the verse text. Recognition is performed on your device whenever your device supports it. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio to our servers, and we do not keep a transcript of what you say. Speech is used only, in real time, to decide whether the verse was read so the alarm can stop.
To operate the loginless referral program and protect it from abuse, the app generates a random anonymous device identifier (a UUID stored in your device Keychain). This identifier is not your name, email, phone number, Apple ID, or advertising identifier, and is not used to track you across other apps or services. We send the following to our backend:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Anonymous device identifier (UUID) | Identify a device within the referral system without a login. |
| App Attest assertion (Apple) | Confirm requests come from a genuine, unmodified app to prevent referral fraud. |
| Invite code you enter | Credit the person who referred you. |
| Subscription tier (e.g., active / not active) | Determine referral reward eligibility. |
We do not receive your name, email, contacts, location, or payment details through this process.
DivineClock offers an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment card or Apple ID. We use Superwall to display the paywall and manage entitlement state. Apple and Superwall may process device and purchase information as described in their own privacy policies.
We run marketing campaigns to promote DivineClock on third-party platforms, including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram ads). To measure how these campaigns perform and to reach relevant audiences, our advertising and analytics partners may receive limited device and usage information, which can include the device advertising identifier (IDFA) and app event/usage data.
On Apple devices, before any tracking that links your activity with other companies' apps or websites takes place, we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, we do not track you in that way and the advertising identifier is not used to identify you. You can review or change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We never sell your personal data.
Verse text may be retrieved from a third-party scripture API
(bolls.life). When this happens, only the verse reference being
requested (for example, book, chapter, and verse) is sent. No personal
information about you is included in these requests.
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Apple (StoreKit, App Attest, Speech, AlarmKit) | Purchases, anti-fraud attestation, on-device speech, alarm scheduling. |
| Supabase | Hosts the referral backend (stores the anonymous device record). |
| Superwall | Paywall presentation and subscription/entitlement management and analytics. |
| bolls.life | Provides Bible verse text on request. |
| Meta Platforms, Inc. | Advertising and campaign measurement (only with your ATT consent). |
These providers may store data on servers located outside your country, including outside Brazil. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.
On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. The anonymous device record on our backend is retained for as long as needed to operate and protect the referral program. You may request deletion of that record at any time (see "Your rights").
DivineClock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will address it.
DivineClock is operated by Appsolutely LTDA under the laws of Brazil. Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, LGPD) and similar laws, you may have the right to confirm whether we process data about you, to access it, to correct it, to request its deletion or anonymization, and to obtain information about sharing. Because we operate without a login, the only identifier we can act on is your device's anonymous UUID. To exercise these rights, email biblechat29@gmail.com.
Network requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and sensitive on-device values such as the device identifier are stored in the iOS Keychain. App Attest is used to verify the integrity of requests to our backend. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
